Welcome to Hollow Council Press Kit Online. Our band website showcases what our band and music is all about, who we are, and invite you to peruse our site. We have many Photos and Posters from our stage shows posted on our website, the lyrics to all the songs on our 2008 album, Time For Change, on Platinum Plus Records, Nashville, as well as a complete listing of all our current and past bookings.
About Charles Watson & Hollow Council and Hollow Council: Extreme electric and classical guitarist, Charles E. Watson Jr, on recording contract with Universal Platinum Plus Records, put together a band to record and perform his music, taking his extraordinary classical guitar techniques into mainstream rock. Recording artist on the resulting 2008 album on Platinum Plus Records, Nashville, Time For Change, was Charles Watson & Hollow Council. The label requiring the individual artist's name, the band choosing 'Hollow Council" as a band name, pluralized synonyms for the title of our first and sound-marking tune "Empty Man". This album and the live shows have been retailed and booked as Charles Watson & Hollow Council and also booked and played as "Hollow Council" at Sturgis Rally 2008 and have Hollow Council accounts on youtube and myspace.
We have been busy and are very proud of our reviews, articles, and headlines, which are posted on our Press page. We booked and played Sturgis 2008 Rally in Sturgis, SD a matter of weeks before our album was even released, and are playing Sturgis Rally 2010. Two songs off our 2008 album, "Stuffed Suits" and "Stop Wasting My Time", broke all AAA radio airplay charting records, staying on top 54 weeks 2008 and into 2009. We played and hosted Arizona's Final Fridays Rockfest January to August 2009, our "TIme For Change" album has digital domestic distribution by Platinum Plus Global & International, since December 2009, and is available at the big 5 Mp3 retail outlets online. We currently have a music video playing on YouTube, and have two music videos on DVD, are an active live performing band. We sell our CDs and DVDs as well as merchandize band shirts 'n things, as well as commemorate items like our Sturgis shirts & hats and album poster series, through our 2 band stores online and at shows.
Our Press Kit cover letter is a synopsis of our information to date. We also have provided a Press Kit page with our band logos, images of our 2008 album on CD, and current graphic ads and photos in color and black and white. These images are linked to 300 dpi print quality jpegs. Currently, our website Mp3 page offers two Mp3 recordings that are the AAA radio record breaking songs of mention off of our 2008 album which can be downloaded. Our Performance Contract is also online and formatted to conveniently print out on two letter-size pages.
